The perfect souvenir of your vacations in Cancun
When you visit a place, one of the questions that comes to one’s mind is “Where can I buy some nice handcrafts?” Well, that may be a problem in any other place, but here in Mexico, specifically in Cancun, we have some places called Mercados (Market places) which are sort of a Mall but with traditional food, crafts and arts and clothing you may wanna see and take home as a souvenir.
We recommend you to go on a Cancun Shopping Tour or explore by yourself the Mercado 28, located Downtown Cancun. There you can find all kinds of Mexican traditional outfits, crafts and arts for all tastes and all budgets and delicious freshly made food.
Mercado Coral Negro (Flea Market as it is known in English), is another nice place you may want to visit during your vacations in Cancun. It is in Cancun Hotel Zone, for if you are staying at a hotel over there, it will be easier for you to get there. It is completely safe to shop there and although prices are a bit more elevated than Downtown, due to the area, you’ll find something nice to take home for sure.
Avenida Tulum is located Downtown Cancun. If you want to find a great variety of crafts and arts to choose from, that is one of the best places since all along the Avenue, you will be able to see and compare prices of a bunch of fun and nice souvenirs for the whole family.
Last but not least, there is a specialized place for crafts and arts called Plaza La Fiesta where you will find a great…huge variety of souvenirs and buy without all the noise of the people trying to sell things, so that’s a plus if you are not in the mood for that. And although it is not the traditional way to get souvenirs here, you may find what you are looking for. Besides, it has a branch in Cancun Hotel Zone.
