This is a time for celebration in Mérida, Yucatán. After the holidays and the arrival of a New Year, it comes the time for the Merida Fest!
From January 5th to 26th one of the most important festivals in the southeast side of the Mexican Republic. It is a festivity that celebrates also the 478th Anniversary of the foundation of the city of Merida.
During this amazing event assistants will enjoy the performance of 650 national, international and local artists ranging from dancers, musicians, actors and more. There will be 30 different locations around the city, which will be the stages for near 130 events.
Opening the festival you will hear the angelic voice of Angélica Balado, and along the days this great event lasts there will be other amazing concerts like “Mérida es nombre de mujer”, presenting seven female and 3 male singers. Some of the international artists performing will be Michal Kamal, Pancho Amat, Los Pericos, Belli & Júdice, Tomoki, Stabat Mater with Dorela Cela & Teodora Drozdik-Popovi and DJ Joweki. Of course, we couldn’t miss the Mexican talent with the presence of Cleyver, Compañía Nacional de Teatro, Los Socios del Ritmo, Marionetas de la Esquina, and others. And for the closure we will have the long awaited performance of Diego Torres in the Plaza Grande of Merida!
